CINCINNATI -- Monday night was Senior Night for the host Turpin Spartans at Cherry Grove Lanes, so the Little Miami boys' varsity bowlers (16-0) knew the Spartans would be ready for a tough league match. After a school record two-game team series, the Panthers topped Turpin 2929-2816.
In the first individual match, the Panthers came out red-hot while finishing with a team score of 1130. Little Miami was led by junior Connor Petry-Minton who logged a 276, and senior Isaac Martini was right on his heels with a 270. After the second individual set, the Panthers set a new two-game series school record with a total of 2175. In addition, Aaron Horak continued his consistent senior season rolling back-to-back 226 games.
On the girls side of action, the Lady Panthers faced the ECC leading Lady Spartans and fell 2289-1704. Little Miami was led by senior Clarette Asante who rolled a team-high game of 174. Sophomore Aubrey Olekas added a personal high game of 162, and a two-game series of 298.
Both teams are back in action Tuesday afternoon at Eastern Lanes in Middletown against the Lebanon Warriors (14-2). Bowling begins at 3:30 PM.
