LOVELAND (Eastgate Lanes) -- As the snow was falling hard outside late last Friday night, inside Eastgate Lanes the Little Miami varsity bowling team was honoring their eight seniors with parents and friends in attendance prior to an ECC matchup with rival Winton Woods.
The Lady Panthers were led by seniors Hayley Stuart and Clarette Asante as they topped Winton Woods 1522-1254. Stuart had the high-game of the night with a 176. Asante rolled games of 142 and 148 for a two-game series total of 290. Overall, the Lady Panthers climb to 6-5 and even conference play at 5-5.
On the boys side of the action, the Panthers continued to roll in the second half of the season and remained undefeated by routing the visiting Warriors 2550-1336. Little Miami was led by the Cincinnati Enquire's "Bowler of the Week", senior Isaac Martini whole knocked down 433 (222 and 211) pins in the two-game series. Also, fellow Panther Bret Szekely rolled games of 209 and 206 for a 417 series. Aaron Horak and Ashton Conte added games of 210 and 209, and Seamus Taylor had a PR of 152 in his first varsity game. With the win, the Panthers move to 11-0 overall and 10-0 in The Conference.
Lastly, after leading Little Miami past West Clermont on Jan. 21 with a 497 (240, 257) series, and following that with 501 series over rival Milford, senior Issac Martini was featured on Cincinnati.com for his incredible week of bowling.
