CINCINNATI -- Just 24-hours after Little Miami junior bowler Aaron Horak rolled the third highest score in school history (269), sophomore teammate Brandon Roy matched Horak's Top 3 mark with a 269 score of his own on Thursday afternoon at Cherry Groves Lanes as the visiting Panthers topped the host Turpin Spartans 2710-2489.
Not only did Roy match the No. 3 single game mark, he followed the record setting Game 1 effort with a 247 in Game 2. In total, Roy's combined 2-game effort of 516 now ranks him second in school history in that category. Thursday's win elevates the Panthers to 6-2 overall, and 5-2 in the ECC. Also, the 2710 team score is now ranked No. 1 in school history.
On Friday, the Panthers were set return to Cherry Grove Lanes for another ECC matchup with rival Anderson (1-6, 1-6), but that contest has been postponed to a date to be determined. "I am so proud of how well we're performing coming off of the Holiday Break," said Little Miami head coach
Robb Carpenter. "I wasn't sure how we'd handle the call, but the team has certainly responded well. We're going to build off this two-game win streak, and hopefully that carries into next week."
Congratulations to Nathan, Gustavo, Brandon, Ashton, Aaron, and Conner in the winning effort! Go Panthers!
