Alley Panthers fall to rival Lebanon

LOVELAND -- Robb Carpenter's Little Miami men's bowling team went back-and-forth with the visiting Lebanon Warriors at Eastgate Lanes on Wednesday evening. However, in the end it was the visiting Warriors who outlasted the host Panthers 2814-2697.

Little Miami continued their record smashing season, by concluding the second singles set with a team-high score of 1056. In addition, they set a school record with a two-game singles total of 2020.

In that second set, sophomore Connor Petry-Minton bowled a 279. It is the third highest score in school history. Petry-Minton's Top 3 game comes just days after teammate's Aaron Horak and Brandon Roy both logged 269 games last week.

"Heading into baker, we really had some good momentum. The key to scoring well in baker is stringing strikes together. We didn't do that tonight, and we missed some easy spares. From there, we never got our momentum back," said head coach Robb Carpenter. "We give a lot of credit to Lebanon, they bowled extremely well tonight."

The Panthers have just over a week to regain their footing, as they next travel to Stones Lanes in Cincinnati on January 28 to face ECC rival Walnut Hills at 3:30 PM.
