Football: Trapp Sets School Record as Little Miami Rolls Past Milford, Eyes Postseason Berth

MORROW — Little Miami senior running back Andrew Trapp had a night to remember Friday, setting a new school record with five touchdowns as the host Panthers routed Milford 45-15 in Week 9 of ECC play. The win lifts the Panthers to 2-7 overall and 2-6 in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference.

Trapp powered the offense with a career-high 236 rushing yards, including a 74-yard score, as Little Miami racked up 303 total offensive yards. Trapp now ranks third in the ECC with 527 rushing yards entering the final week of the regular season.

Joining him atop the conference leaderboards is teammate Lucas Basta, who leads all ECC receivers with 782 receiving yards this season.

Currently ranked No. 14 in Division I, Region 4 with 3.39 playoff points, Little Miami has a chance to sneak into the postseason with a win this week over ECC rival West Clermont. A victory could secure a Week 11 playoff berth in head coach Nate Mahon's first season back at the helm during his second tenure with the program.

Depending on final standings, the Panthers could face a familiar foe in Winton Woods for the fourth time in two seasons, or travel to one of the Greater Miami Conference's Lakota high schools.

Friday's regular-season finale is expected to be a ground-heavy, quick-clock contest — a style that could favor the surging Panthers.
