MORROW -- The Little Miami Panthers varsity boys' basketball team defeated ECC rival West Clermont 51-47 Friday night in the PAC at LMHS to extend their win steak to four games while climbing to 8-5 (5-4 ECC) overall. The four-game steak hasn't been matched by a Panthers team since Games 3-6 of the 2016-17 season. The Panthers winning effort was led by forward Carter Sellars and guard Jake Wittenauer who both scored 13 points. Senior guard Elisha Jones also logged double-figures as he added 11. Additionally, Jackson Reynolds and Connor Istnick both added point seven points, while Ian Arthur deflected a Wolves' pass which created a crucial turnover in favor of Little Miami with less than 10 seconds remaining in the game.
"Our performance tonight wasn't our best, but the final result is what we're working for," said head coach
Scott Kerr. "We'll build on the positives and clean up the opportunities as we continue working towards our team goals." Coach Kerr and the Panthers are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Cincinnati to face Walnut Hills (1-10, 0-8 ECC) at 7:30 PM.
