MASON — The Little Miami High School boys' golf team made history Thursday at the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Postseason Tournament at The Grizzly Golf Course, carding a team score of 313 to finish second in the conference championship. The Panthers were led by a strong performance from Austin Nicholas, who fired a 76 to pace Little Miami. Grady Mairn followed closely with a 77, while Cody King and Bryce Grubenhoff each posted an 80 to round out the team score.
Little Miami's 313 total ties for the second-best team score in an ECC preseason or postseason tournament since the Panthers joined the league in 2020. The 313 matches the team's 2023 score and sits just five strokes behind Little Miami's program-best ECC tournament score of 308.
Most notably, the runner-up finish marks Little Miami's highest-ever finish in the ECC Postseason Tournament, adding another memorable accomplishment to the program's record book. And maybe even more impressive, is that Coach Wysong was hired just two weeks before the 2026 season started, and we believe this is just the start of future success ahead!
With Nicholas, Mairn, King and Grubenhoff leading the way, the Panthers delivered a balanced team performance when it mattered most, securing a historic second-place finish against the conference's best. Next up: the OHSAA postseason!
