Girls Soccer: From rebuild to remarkable, the 2025 Lady Panthers are ECC Champs!

The Lady Panthers capture their first-ever ECC championship under second-year coach Dann Marketos

Morrow, OH — The Little Miami High School girls' soccer team (8-4-4, 6-1-2 ECC) has made history, securing the program's first-ever Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) championship under the leadership of second-year head coach Dann Marketos.

After years of rebuilding, the Lady Panthers surged to the top of one of Ohio's most competitive high school soccer conferences. The team's championship run was fueled by a core of rising talent, disciplined play, and a clear cultural shift.

Key wins throughout the season — including a critical 2–1 victory on the road against Turpin — positioned Little Miami as a true contender. With standout performances from athletes such as Emily Bayles and Elly Goins, and consistent contributions across the roster, the Panthers completed a remarkable turnaround just two years removed from a 3-win season.

"This is a special moment for our players, our program, and the entire Little Miami community," said Head Coach Dann Marketos. "The hard work, belief, and leadership from this group of girls changed the trajectory of the program."

The 2025 season marks a new era for Little Miami girls' soccer, as the team looks to build on this success in future seasons and pursue deeper postseason runs in the OHSAA tournament. 2025 LMHS seniors include Mackenzie Bailey, Mallory Holtkamp, Cassandra Kicsak, Kaylee Campbell, Emily Bayles, Katie langan, Emma Hartings, Emma Gausmann, Morgan Reynolds, Alyssa Sparks, Baylee Hatfield and Kiara Wood. Senior Night will be celebrated on Wednesday night when Little Miami hosts Miamisburg (5-8-2) in nonconference action to concluded the regular season. Next week, the Lady Panthers host No. 7 Ursuline Academy in the D-II Southwest District Semifinal which is Round 1 of the OHSAA road to a State Championship.
