EATON -- The weather at Fort St. Clair Park in Eaton on Saturday was another sunny and hot forecast, and that seems to be just the way the 2024 Little Miami Panthers cross country teams like it. This season, the invitational trophies continue to pile up, and in a field of 14 schools both the boys' and girls' teams finished in first place, again! For the boys, the Panthers scored a meet-low 35 points (2+5+7+8+13 (18+19)) and outdistanced second place Piqua by 52. Ryne Reynolds, Ian Patrick, Justin Evans and Derek Gomez all placed in the Top 10 and recorded times under 16:40 in the 5000m race. On the girls side of the action, the Lady Panthers also claimed gold scored a meet-low 33 points (4+5+6+8+10 (13+30)). The Lady Panthers were led by Sophia France, Stella Cornelius, Ella Brown, Jessie Perkins, and Sam Mueller who all placed in the Top 10.
