Bowling: Lady Panthers roll to third place finish in the ECC Championships

FAIRFIELD -- The LMHS varsity bowling teams traveled to RollHouse Entertainment on Friday afternoon for an ECC Championship matinee before winter weather blanketed the Tri-State region. First-year head coach Ashley Brown and the Lady Panthers rolled to third place finish in the conference's annual postseason prelude to the OHSAA Tournament. The team's bronze effort on Friday was their best finish since joining the ECC and a ranking they hadn't matched since the 2019-20 season when Little Miami was still affiliated with the SWOC.

"I was very excited and pleased with our efforts yesterday," said Coach Brown. "We've been building positive momentum all season, and it was great to see it come together on a championship stage against great ECC competition."

The Lady Panthers were led by Victoria Beebe, Brooke Thomas, Savannah Shane, Aubrey Ferrell, Hannah Weigle, and Caitlin McGinnis. Little Miami's top bowler in Round 1 was Savannah Shane who rolled a 495 overall and Hannah Weigle trailed by only 10 pins at 485. The Lady Panthers logged 2142 pins in Round 1, 429 in Baker Series 1, and 471 in Baker Series 2 for an event total of 3042.

The Little Miami boys' team claimed seventh overall with an event total of 3,345 pins. Aiden Dewey scored a team-high game with a score of 222 in Round 1. Overall, the Panthers scored 2,444 in Round 1, 410 in Baker Series 1, and 491 in Baker Series 2. The Alley Cats were led by Diego Arias-Colon, Aiden Dewey, Philip Mowery, Caleb Martini, and Max Giller.

Overall, Lebanon claimed the boys' ECC bowling title and the Lady Wolves of West Clermont won the girls. A link to Friday's ECC results can be found HERE!
