MORROW — First-year Little Miami baseball coach Gabe Olivencia is quickly laying the groundwork for sustained success with the Panthers. Nearing the midway point of the 2025 season, Little Miami boasts a 9-4 overall record. Monday night's 4-2 victory over ECC rival Turpin vaulted the Panthers into a tie with the Spartans for third place in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference standings. Despite the key win, there's no time to rest. The Panthers hit the road this afternoon for a rematch against Turpin in Newtown, looking to secure another crucial league victory before predicted spring storms potentially roll in. In Monday's matchup, senior Carter Sellers delivered a strong outing on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings and striking out seven. At the plate, senior Colin Milligan paced the offense with a pair of hits.
Looking ahead, Little Miami will travel to Miami University on Saturday to take on CHCA in the Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase. First pitch is scheduled as part of the annual event spotlighting local talent. Tickets are $5.
