MORROW -- Both the weather and Panther Athletics were hot on Monday afternoon as many Little Miami teams were in action! Congratulations to LMHS boys' soccer as head coach Andy Schur logged his first victory leading the program! The Panthers outlasted GMC foe Hamilton 2-1 as Little Miami climbed to 1-1-0 early in the 2023 campaign. The Panthers opened the regular season last Thursday and fell to Badin 3-0 at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex. This Thursday, LMHS returns to action when the Panthers travel to West Clermont to open ECC play. Stay tuned for the latest updates as heat warnings could play factor into kickoff times.
Additionally, congratulations to Coach Koterba and the Lady Panthers as they traveled to Hamilton last night and knocked off the Lady Big Blue while climbing to 1-0-1. The Lady Panthers opened the season with a 0-0 tie when hosting nonconference rival Ursuline Academy on Saturday, and tonight Coach Koterba and the Panthers are back in action tonight as they host West Clermont at 7 PM at LMHS in an ECC matchup.
Head coach Mason Boulton and the LMHS varsity volleyball team traveled to West Chester on Monday night and faced GMC rival Lakota West. Led by senior star Darbi Ricketts, the Lady Panthers defeated the host Lady Firebirds in four sets (25-21, 25-21, 22-25, and 25-17) and jump to 1-0 overall to start the season. The Lady Panthers don't have long to enjoy the opening night win, as they host ECC rival West Clermont tonight in the Panther Athletic Center at LMHS.
And in Goshen, the LMHS varsity girls tennis team climbed to 2-1 as they routed the Goshen Lady Warriors 5-0. Last week, the Lady Panthers dominated Madison 5-0, and fell to ECC rival Loveland 5-0 on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Panthers are back in action today as they welcome Lebanon into Morrow.
