LOVELAND -- The Little Miami Panthers varsity wrestling team traveled to Loveland High School on Saturday to compete in the 2022-23 Eastern Cincinnati Conference championships. Overall the Panthers claimed third place by logging 133.0 points in the event. Lebanon took gold with 200.0 points overall and Anderson followed in second with 154.0.
Little Miami senior Brentan Simmerman was named the ECC Wrestler of the Year as he outlasted Lebanon's Tanner Smith 6-0 to win the 215-pound class. Other Panther placers included Lincoln Music-Quick who also took gold by pinning Milford's Cameron Center at the 4:25 mark in the 190 class. In the battle for bronze, Sam Like (113) defeated West Clermont's Marcus Giddens 7-3 to make the podium, and Reid Prenger (120) did the same by pinning Lebanon's Joe Tarkin at the 4:25 point. Also claiming victory in The Round was Little Miami's Nathan Rebman (144) who defeated Lebanon's Liam Sprague 3-0, and Austin Dipzinski (157) who tech falled West Clermont's Devon Price.
Other Panthers who made it into the Bronze Round were Austin Seta, Jacob Poulin, and Nathan Wilson. A complete listing of ECC results can be found
