SPRINGBORO -- On Thursday afternoon at the OHSAA Southwest District Tournament at Heatherwoode Golf Course in Springboro, Little Miami junior golfer Jake Wittenauer made LMHS Panther history by shooting gross total score of 72 (+1) and finishing in a three-way tie for second place as an individual player for Little Miami.
CJ Schohy of Bellbrook was the tournament's individual champion as the Bellbrook Golden Eagle logged a total gross score of 70 (-1) to lead the field. Wittenauer, Eric Braun of St. Xavier and Timmy Hollenbeck of Mason followed two stokes behind at 72. Garrett Hogan of Kings was the final state qualifier as he shot a 74. Braun and Hollenbeck both advance to Columbus due to their schools team results.
Overall, Mason claimed the team title with a low-score of 297, followed by St. Xavier at 302 and Springboro claimed the final podium spot at 311. A listing of final team scores can be located
